Component Preparation Helper - Temporary --

A global leader in power and transmission solutions for professional Security, Surveillance, Access Control and Fire applications seeks a Component Preparation Helper.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: - Manually perform any combination of the following repetitive tasks involving counting, sorting, preparing, cutting, screwing, riveting, or packaging of component parts or printed circuit boards (PCBs). - Employee will also be required using handheld cutting tools, a handheld rivet gun, and a pneumatic screwdriver. - Employee may also be required to perform other job related duties as deemed necessary by management (unless medically restricted and certified).

Physical Requirements: - Able to sit for long periods of time. - Fingering dexterity: Picking, pinching, or otherwise moving fingers to manipulate items/components. - Grasping/handling: Holding, turning, and/or applying pressure to an object with the hand/palm. - Lifting (25-30 lbs.) requires the raising or lowering of an object from one level to another. This task is required when retrieving, storing and/or transporting components/ PCBs. - Pushing/ pulling cart when transporting components/ PCBs. - The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Work environment: Work is conducted in an indoor production environment; therefore, the employee is not exposed to any outside environmental conditions. The worker may be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as dusts.

Additional Information: Rate of pay: In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the hourly rate for this position is $16.00 per hour; which may be increased upon successful completion of the 90th day introductory period to a rate of $16.25-$16.50 per hour. Status: Full-time/temporary Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, 40 hrs. per week We offer an excellent working environment.
