Job Summary:

As a Global Custody Asset Servicing Associate in the WHEM Asset Servicing team you will be responsible to perform and manage day to day Operations of Global Custody Corporate Action including Instruction, Completions and Reconciliation management for Western Hemisphere markets. The role requires a high performing Associate with attention to detail and good leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of Controls, Checks, Instructions, and Queries on a daily basis

  • Manage group email boxes and internal enquiry management tools to ensure queries are resolved and responded to within a timeframe and manner sensitive to the urgency of the event, and in accordance with prescribed service levels

  • Work with Product, Network Management, Sub custodians and vendors to resolve day-to-day issues identified through daily operations and enquiry management.

  • Manage your individual workload to ensure individual, team and departmental deadlines and objectives are met as well as assist the Senior Manager in the day-to-day management of the instruction process ensuring effective workload balancing for team members.

  • Review and, where necessary, update existing processes or procedures to minimize risk and improve the operational environment. Review all manual Controls for Timely Execution and Checks for accuracy. Provide support, guidance and training to share knowledge and strengthen the team to enhance global client experience.

  • Take full responsibility for adherence to all departmental procedures, policies, checkpoints and controls.

  • Assist the Manager in the day-to-day management of the instruction and payment process ensuring effective workload balancing for team members.

Required qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience, with proven solid experience in day-to-day operation processing

  • Maintain high accuracy rate - to be able to validate input performed by another colleague

  • Exhibit strong analytical skills coupled with independent and reliable decision-making skills including taking the initiative to manage change and enhance controls

  • Strong communication skills, articulate key risk and challenge of daily processing to management

  • Proven experience in driving various process enhancement and digital tools initiatives globally and regional

  • Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting, and implementing new processes efficiently. Strong analytical & critical thinking skills with proactive mindset to manage change

  • Exposure to business intelligence tools I.E. Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, and comfortable working with data. Must have advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Relevant degree education preferred, however, non-degree candidates with a proven track record in a similar role will be considered.

  • Financial Services background would be preferred, ideally within a Custody or Investment Bank environment with experience of managing global teams preferably within Custody Operations with experience in Asset Servicing, Trades, Settlements etc.

  • Understanding of DTC, Euroclear, Foreign Exchange, Reconciliation rules and Global Custody.

  • Initiative-taker, ability to learn quickly, Strong leadership skills with focus to mitigate risks and taking proactive approach to ensure "Best in Class" results.
