About You

We are looking for an individual who would like to kick off their career at a global function of a multinational company with plenty opportunities to grow and develop. We are looking for someone who has an ambition to work in Finance and has the curiosity and interest to get to know the field of Taxation in depth.

About the role

The Direct Tax Analyst ensures that the markets’ direct tax processes (including WHT, CIT, TP and other supplementary returns) are undertaken accurately, efficiently and on time and the surrounding internal control procedures, legislative requirements are strictly adhered to.

Scope of role covers preparing WHT, CIT, connected returns and supporting the transfer pricing cycle. This requires close interaction with the Direct Tax Senior under the supervisory of the Direct Tax Junior Manager, a number of functions including both markets and central functions, global tax stakeholdres with a special focus on statutory compliance and financial controlling teams.

The role will be responsible for preparing, or supporting the preparation of WHT returns, CIT returns and connected supplementary returns in accordance with global standard process and controls, utilising automation tools where applicable.

The role will also be working closely with the Direct Tax Senior to ensure compliance with market specific regulatory requirements and legislative changes as well as preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring these are done on time and in an internal and external control compliant way. The responsibilities include actively leading tax document retention for your markets.

The role is encouraged to supply to the continuous improvement of the direct tax compliance processes as well as promptly responding to market queries in respect of markets in their responsibility and supporting direct tax leaders, business partners, SME-s in non-routine questions, projects, and during tax audits in their competency.

What you'll bring

• Qualified graduate economist (University or College degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting) with 0 - 1 year post qualification in finance/tax

• Experience at an operational level in tax, controls and risk management is an advantage

• Strong analytical and questioning skills

• Good numerical skills and confident excel usage

• Able to work with tight deadlines

• Attention to details and overview of the business: able to operate at the detailed level when necessary but always focuses on the big picture.

• Self-motivated and well organised approach to work

• Fluency in English
