Citigroup Payment Processing Officer in Budapest, Hungary
The Payment Processing Officer is responsible for executing complex cash transactions (mainly Bank to Bank payments) and participating in complex processes in coordination with the Custody Operations team and Treasury. The overall objective of this role is to act as a subject matter expert while processing all regular transfers, payments, trade transactions, cash investigations and liquidity handling for large Financial Institutional clients in relation with their HUF cash corresponding banking activities.
The role is closely involved in managing technology projects throughout the entire system development lifecycle in coordination with the Transaction Services team.
Responsibilities:
Process all regular, restricted and legal transfers, which include processing of payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity flows
Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend/implement process improvements that will increase operating efficiency and lead to an improved client experience
Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience and precedent
Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors
Contribute to and collaborate with cash & trade operations projects as needed
Develop comprehension of how the cash & trade operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives
Assist efforts to help drive high rates of client adoption
Ensure requirements are clearly stated and that business and client needs are met throughout development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Fluent English and Hungarian language skills
1-3 years of experience in cash processing
SWIFT system knowledge
Fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations
Effective verbal and written skills
Effective communication and analytical skills
