Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in BUFFALO, New York. This role is vital for the management and handling of our financial records and processes. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the finance sector of our telecom organization, with a focus on ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including but not limited to ledgers, journals, and financial statements

• Execute month-end and year-end close processes diligently and timely

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making

• Prepare and present financial reports for management review

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate predictions and plans

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

• Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close in the execution of duties. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated expertise in maintaining General Ledger

• Capable of making accurate Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experienced in managing Month End Close processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to accounting practices

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
