Your New Role

The Manager, Financial Administration at Warner Bros. Television collaborates extensively with various departments, including Business Affairs, Labor, Estimating, Production, Current, Casting, Production Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and WBTV Legal. Their primary responsibility is to manage Above-the-Line (ATL) payments and charge-offs of WBTV overall Producers & Directors, ensuring compliance with contractual and audit obligations for active series and pilots from pre-production through post-production.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • ATL Payment Management : Read and administer complex Overall Producer agreements and other intricate contract in order to create new episodic payment authorizations/schedules for each series including Producing fees, royalties, packaging, and charge-offs for overall Producers, Directors, and Writers, as well as to obtain the necessary approvals adhering to SOX compliance rules.

  • Financial Accuracy: Monitor cost associated with ATL development project, pilots, series, talent holds and overall deals to ensure correct payment processing of WGA rules, contractual limits, bonuses, and analyses for the same. Track and maintain fresh cash vs charge-offs, generate Journal entries and correct distribution errors as needed, collaborating closely with Production accountants, Business Affairs, payroll companies and agencies.

  • Audit Request: Assist with SOX initiative of internal and external audits of television productions as related to financial information and cost processing , including Guilds, participations inquiries, and cost analyses for Labor relations for negotiation purposes.

  • Casting Directors: Manage and administer payments as well as ensuring the proper distribution of fringe across all Productions.

  • Development: Assist with all costs associated with scripts, rights, supervisor and development fees.

  • Start work: Obtain payroll documents for all ATL talent, maintain files and serve as liaison between Agencies and Production.

  • Additional duties: Clip fee payments, monitor overhead and assistants (on/off production) for overall producer, Colaborate with co-productions (Max, HBO), promote new or modified suggestions related to procedures as they pertain to departmental operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years WGA Payroll experience, production cost budgeting/estimating experience, preferably in television.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College preferred.

  • Experience with SAP, PSL, Smart Accounting.

  • Accounting principles and procedures sufficient to review and ensure the accurate distribution of production costs.

  • Ability to research, locate and, if necessary, correct entries.

  • Adhere to numerous deadlines across multiple productions.

  • Work flexible hours, be dependable, self-motivated.

  • Maintain various reports/logs.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
