Our client, a non-profit organization, is in need of a Food Services Manager to handle administrative and management of the food services team & department. If you have 2+ years of relevant experience, please apply today!

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage overall operations of the food services in compliance with established standards

• Planning menus inclusive of diverse dietary needs for residents, the retreat center, special events, catering, and socials.

• Supervise five dining rooms

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work and resolving problems.

• Manage routine maintenance and repairs of kitchen equipment, inventory of supplies, and ordering necessary supplies and receiving deliveries

• Schedule routine maintenance and repairs of kitchen equipment.

• Deal with administrative duties like approving payroll, worker’s compensation reporting, reviewing File Maker reports, completing necessary forms, and researching products.

  Requirements

To succeed in this role one must have:

• A High school diploma with 4+ years of managerial experience in a restaurant or institutional setting.

• A California Food Manager Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment

• Experience with preparation of meals for special diets.

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

• Solid computer skills, strong verbal and written communication ability, excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
