Summary:
Meta's Reality Labs is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Artist to join our Fantastical Avatars team. This team is responsible for creating and maintaining the innovative systems that power our avatars across Meta's family of apps, including our groundbreaking Metaverse initiatives in VR/AR. As a Technical Artist, you will collaborate with designers, engineers, and other technical artists to bring fantastical characters to life, enhancing the experiences of billions of users worldwide.
Required Skills:
Technical Artist, Metaverse Avatars Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of workflows and tools for avatar creation.
Collaborate closely with art, engineering, user-experience, product management, and other teams to develop content in modern real-time environments.
Design, manage, and maintain the content pipeline from asset creation through deployment.
Innovate and solve issues quickly with cross-functional teams.
Foster collaboration and iteration based on the team's evolving needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in game development or the tech industry as a Technical Artist.
Proficiency in Python.
Expertise in character rigging technologies.
Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya.
Proven collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience in real-time asset implementation and optimization techniques.
Effective communication skills across team members, including engineers, artists, and production staff.
Experience in building tools, plug-ins, and designing workflows for content production.

Experience with building creator tooling.

Public Compensation:
$130,000/year to $180,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
