UVM Assistant Director for Compliance, Audit & Privacy (#S5253PO)

The University of Vermonts Office of Student Financial Services is seeking an Assistant Director for Compliance, Audit & Privacy. The main functions of this position are to provide leadership in compliance and support to the Student Financial Services programs, policies, and practices. To work collaboratively with staff in reviewing new regulations and making decisions regarding how they will be adopted and implemented. To develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls for compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulations and policies. Lead the departments compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations in coordination with the Universitys Privacy office and Information Security Office. Provide leadership in program and policy assessment to support compliance and mitigate risk. This position reports to the Director of Student Financial Services.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in related or specialized field and five years related or specific experience required. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; financial aid, accounting, and/or auditing experience; strong organizational capabilities; strong attention to detail; strong sense of self-motivation; previous employment in a higher education setting; experience with Banner student information system preferable; working knowledge of relational databases; Strong desktop and office automation skills, including but not limited to email, word processing, and spreadsheet analysis; familiarity with statistical analysis and tools.
