Robert Half Procurement Coordinator in Burlington, Washington

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our government agency in Burlington, Washington, 98233-9772, United States, as a Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be managing the Agency's Procurement Program, leading procurement projects from concept to completion, and ensuring the procurement of goods and services is timely, cost-efficient, and legally compliant.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the Agency's Procurement Program

• Ensure the program is in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations

• Prepare and distribute requests for proposal, invitations to bid and other solicitation documents

• Facilitate the development of written specifications for equipment and scope of work for services required to meet the Agency’s needs

• Review draft proposals and specifications submitted by Agency staff for content, clarity, and potential problems

• Provide guidance to other departments in procurement of services and materials

• Conduct pre-proposal and pre-bid conferences and public bid openings

• Conduct price analyses as required and facilitate the bid/proposal evaluation process

• Facilitate training of staff and the implementation of purchasing policies and procedures

• Maintain appropriate records and files to document procurement activities and purchases. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement role within a government or public sector organization

• Proficiency in bid evaluation and awarding contracts

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in government procurement practices

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Familiarity with procurement actions, activities, and processes in public sector organizations

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Must possess high ethical standards and integrity in both professional and personal dealings

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
