FileNet (ECM) Developer / Administrator Role Job Description
We are looking for a FileNet Developer/Administrator at our Burnaby office. The FileNet Developer, under the supervision of the Development Team Lead is responsible for supporting FileNet applications.
Mandatory skills and experience:
At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) field, preferably with the FileNet P8 system.
Strong knowledge of Java, FileNet P8 CE, PE, IER.
Strong knowledge of ICN & ICC.
Demonstrated work experience with application development and support.
Experience building integration solutions with FileNet based on FileNet API’s and CMIS framework.
Experience working with WebSphere and/or WebLogic to configure, maintain and support FileNet related components.
Proactive, self-dependent and able to work with minimal supervision independently and in a team environment.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, debugging skills and proven ability to discern critical from minor problems.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and handle multiple tasks at one time.
Other Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Working directly with the client and with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to produce the required deliverables.
Working according to the client’s working hours in the PST time zone.
Providing 24x7 on call support on occasion (additional compensation provided).
Working with Solution Architects to design and develop solutions based on the FileNet P8 platform.
Working with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to conceive ideas and develop automation tools for better productivity in the FileNet area to support day-to-day activities.
Working with SAs and business stakeholders to build/configure IER components such as Record Classes, File Plans, Retention policies.
Ability to work with FileNet FM to Configure, setup and administer FileNet P8 (5.5.1. +) object stores, document classes, search & entry templates.
Leading or assisting in the development, Implementation, Administration, and Maintenance of all FileNet related applications.
Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Applying maintenance patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrading administrative tools and utilities, and configuring / adding new services as necessary.
Configuring / Developing ICC related workflows and integrating these with other applications as required.
Ability to write event-action scripts and working with PE to develop process automation.
Working with other teams and other applications to develop integration solutions with FileNet based on the CMIS framework.
Performing ongoing system maintenance, research, and problem resolution for FileNet P8 systems.
Acting as liaison between the FileNet team and other integration services like REST Services, APIc etc.
Working independently on small and large moderately complex projects that require advanced skills in multiple technical environments and disciplines.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $97,664.00 to $122,080.00 CAD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
