Your purpose

Due to ongoing growth in our team and our people, we now have a number of Finance Business Partner opportunities to join our team. We're constantly investing in our people and we do this by ensuring they have the tools and paths to grow. Due to this we have a number of roles available because of internal promotions & in support of our new Equal Parent Leave policy.

The Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Burton Head Office 2 days Hybrid is responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the direct procurement leadership and functional teams as well as the planning and logistics operational teams. Upweighting the finance support to include the consolidation and reporting of Supply Chain cost savings, tracked against Operations LRP targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide finance business partner support to the Procurement leadership team. Become an integral member of the leadership team and attending relevant leadership team meetings. Analysising and providing critical challenge and insights into the P&L YTD & YTG as part of the IBP (S&OP) process.

  • Reporting, analysis and forecasting of all direct material costs and performance across spend totalling £185m+ per annum.

  • Drive a cost and cash focus in Procurement, ensuring suitable focus on driving PV benefits and exercising cash levers with suppliers.

  • Play the key role in the annual AOP (budget) process to work with procurement teams to plan, understand key assumption changes and review price, inflation and commodity hedging impacts that affect the direct materials.

  • Prepare and present the P&L, discuss the story headlines and financial impact YoY. This provides the basis for the standard costing process impacting the whole business for following year.

About You:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, with extensive working experience

  • Strong technical ability to complete the period end close process, interogate systems, investiage variances and prepare commentary at a category level on overall movments

  • Experience of prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare/present reporting that clearly presents variances to budget/prior forecast.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels in an organisation with the ability to explain results and variances to senior, non-accountant business partners

  • Knowledge of UK and US GAAP accounting requirements coupled with proven ability to apply this knowledge and resolve accounting issues

  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and uses experience, information and judgement to deliver results

  • Strong financial analysis skills, including ability to detemine patterns and corresponding business actions from large amounts of data and to cut through complexity to present real value drivers
