WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Footwear Product Developer to join our team in Busan, Korea, serving our Lifestyle consumers with product that brings performance and style every day. The ideal candidate will bring both a wide range of footwear experience and a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional project teams, both internally and externally, throughout the development cycle. In addition to technical skills including project management, effective communication, material knowledge, fundamentals in footwear manufacturing, and understanding of footwear testing, we look for candidates who are strong team players, creative problem solvers, agile learners, and people leaders who can work through ambiguity and competing priorities to successfully deliver results.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As Senior Footwear Product Developer in our Korea Product Creation Center (PCC), you will be working with people in our World Headquarters, our Factory Partners, and our Manufacturing Locations to lead project teams and manage projects from Initial Tech Pack (ITP) to Ready For Commercialization (RFC). You will work with multi-functional teams to convert 2D designs into 3D physical sample, using your skills, knowledge, and experience. Ensuring product and team excellence for your assigned projects, you will stay true to the brief priorities, test performance, validate manufacturability, manage cost of product, and deliver on time to consumers.

In addition to your assigned projects, you will also work on global and X-functional initiatives, creating or optimizing new processes, tools or manuals.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a part of our Korea PCC team, you will work closely with key partners including Product Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Development, Costing & Standards Engineering, Lab testing, Manufacturing, Innovation, and our Factory Partners. This role reports directly to our Footwear Product Development Director for Lifestyle based in Korea.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum 4 years combined project management experience relevant product-related role (In lieu of degree, two years of additional relevant experience required.) with bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience in using software in Microsoft Office, Adobe, 3D viewer, Airtable, etc.

• Seasoned project manager with critical thinking & analytical skills towards problem-solving.

• Strong collaborator with external and internal partners to manage competing priorities and work productively within a team with proven influencing skills to facilitate meetings, drive consensus and align stakeholders.

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate goals and objectives. Fluent both in Korean and English

• Demonstrates intermediate level understanding of Consumer Product or Hardgoods and knowledge in footwear manufacturing, End-to-End product creation process, cost optimization, materials, test methods, interpretation of technical drawings, and general footwear chemistry.

• An enthusiastic self-starter who is willing to learn and grow as well as with strong inclination to create prototypes, explore, and find ways to improve products outside the box.
