Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position will serve as the System Administrator as well as the Security & Privacy coordinator for the department by managing user and computer access to systems.

Ability to setup computers by installing required software, printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals; Analyze and resolve hardware, software, and communication problems using technical troubleshooting processes; Manage service requests and incidents using the Cherwell ticketing system; Setup and troubleshoot VPN problems for program employees; Ensure all program machines are patched on a regular basis; Manage the program’s software inventory and licenses; Conduct periodic inventory of the program’s property including tracking, relocating, and disposing of outdated or damaged equipment; Assist with IT logistics including hardware and software for meetings; Research technology solutions and provide recommendations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computer/networking hardware, software and programming.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Working knowledge of the use of Electronic Health Records. Knowledge of Public Health.

  • Data entry and analysis skills

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Ability to navigate tight spaces which may involve a combination of kneeling, bending, stooping, and/or reaching.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum-

  • Two or more years of experience with IT security. Education can substitute on a year for year basis.

  • One year experience providing technical support to customers.

  • Technical understanding of computer hardware, software and networking systems and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

  • Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to move equipment.

  • Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Desktop Software.

  • Valid driver’s license for the state of Florida.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred-

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in Information Technology.

  • Microsoft Certifications in Desktop Computer Support

  • Experience with advanced development software such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, C++, etc.

  • Experience in network infrastructure, cable installation, troubleshooting and repair, involving running Category 5 or 6 Data Cable in the Overhead, utilizing ladders and/or underneath Office Furniture and Office Cubical panels.
