SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced Assembler who is experienced in constructing large-scale machine parts to join a local machine shop in Butler, PA. This company makes parts and repairs equipment for the steel industry. The Machine Shop Assembler will work independently throughout the day in a team of ten. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 am -- 2:30 pm. Overtime is available but not mandated. Compensation depending on experience. Generous employee benefits offered.
POSITION • Read blueprints. Identify and assemble components with no assistance • Can run piping, perform micrometer readings, and set fine tolerances • The ability to do welding and fitting, would be a plus but is not required • Maintain and care for equipment and tools
REQUIREMENTS • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings • Experience in precision assembly work, preferably in a machine shop environment • Ability to independently assemble components with precision and accuracy • Proficiency in running piping according to specifications • Familiarity with micrometer readings and setting tolerances to .001 • Welding experience, particularly TIG welding is a plus • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations • Logical problem-solving abilities to address assembly challenges effectively • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen • When applying, please submit a resume
