State of Montana Specialty Program Coordinator (43058) in Butte, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Human and Community Services Division. * * The Human and Community Services Division (HCSD) provides services to low-income or vulnerable families and members of the community necessary to help them meet basic needs and work their way out of poverty. The Specialty Program Coordinator processes eligibility determinations for specialized Medicaid programs such as: Subsidized Foster Care, Adoption, Guardianship, Breast and Cervical Cancer, and Presumptive Eligibility administered by the Central Office to ensure efficient and compliant program administration (Eligibility). This position also processes standard Medicaid Programs associated with Department of Corrections and Communal Living (Colonies). Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of program management principles and practices * Knowledge of confidentiality procedures including HIPAA and IRS regulations * General knowledge of Medicaid and medical terminology * Knowledge and understanding of relational databases * Meet minimum qualifications: o Associate’s degree in social science, human services, office technology, or a related field o Two years of experience including eligibility and customer service o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis o Preferred + Knowledge of community based and/or statewide assistance programs and eligibility requirements + Experience with CHIMES * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
