Our Siemens business unit Motion Control (DI MC) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Motion Control. This includes around 20,000 employees and the four business segments. With its global production sites, R&D, and service locations, MC is close to its customers and at home in a wide range of industries.

At our factory network, comprised of two production sites Buzias, Romania and Bad Neustadt, Germany, Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand the Buzias location in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.

Based in Buzias, for our factory network we are looking for a Test and Calibration Engineer that helps us to manage and optimize our processes for our Buzias (Romania) production site and that also closely collaborates with our Bad Neustadt (Germany) production site.

What part will you play?

  • You will manage the testing system of our electric motors manufacturing in Buzias;

  • In addition to troubleshooting, this also includes calibrating and upgrading testing systems;

  • You will be involved in the development, testing and rollout of software for our testing systems and develop and implement data-based use cases for testing and manufacturing systems;

  • You will connect machines and sensors to our data ecosystem and continuously develop it further with your feedback;

  • You support the decision-making and optimization processes in our factory based on visualization, data engineering and data analytics.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics;

  • You have 1- 2 years of previous similar experience (for example, automation technology, power electronics, drive technology and sensors);

  • You have initial experience with medium-level programming language (C++, Python…) and you enjoy working with modern technologies such as AI and ML;

  • Good proficiency in English and/or German (spoken & written);
