Job Overview

The Industrial Business Unit EMEA Trade Analyst is a pivotal role in our Global Trade Services (GTS) organization, supporting trade operations and compliance within the Industrial Business Unit (IND BU)

in the EMEA region. As a trusted advisor within TE’s Operational Compliance team, this position ensures BU-level compliance with import and export regulations, minimizing risk and optimizing international trade operations. Reporting to the GTS IND BU EMEA Trade Manager, the analyst collaborates within

a global team dedicated to fostering business growth through solutions that align with global trade laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative, global environment, emphasizing integrity, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Execute trade operations for compliance with import/export laws (customs and export controls)

• Maintain compliance activities as per TE policies

• Serve as a contact for trade-related matters in the Industrial BU

• Cooperate with Trade Authorities (Customs& Export Control Authorities, BAFA and other as applicable for business support)

• Develop solutions for adapting to business changes

• Monitor KPIs for operational efficiency and report on trade compliance activities

• Collaborate with GTS Governance to track regulatory changes

• Conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans

• provide trade compliance training per business needs

• Identify cost-effective trade opportunities

• Foster relationships with internal functions (e.g. GTS PMO and GTS Service centers) to address trade compliance issues

• Ensure appropriate utilization of the GTS Operations Service Center for product classification (import and export), restricted party screening, and duty savings compliance, and otherwise ensure proper country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility

What your background should look like:

• 3+ years’ experience in global trade compliance in an international environment

• Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in countries across the region

• Experience in close collaboration with customs and export control authorities and customs brokers

• Fluent Polish and English

• Good knowledge of German

• Bachelor's degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field)

• Proven ability to work with variety of business groups, including supply chain, legal, procurement and finance

• Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships

• Excellent organizational habits and priority management

• Customer focused with a commitment to quality

• Knowledge of the EU Military and Dual Use Export Controls with a good understanding of the US Export Controls (ITAR & EAR) as a plus
