Job Overview

Responsible for providing financial analysis, guidance, and support to the Sales Leaders and/or Product General Manager and Product Management team. These positions are expected to ensure profitable growth by improving Sales and/or Product Management performance through enhanced analysis, reporting, key performance indicator tracking, and follow up on critical items. Financial responsibilities include evaluating PAC projects, capital investments, product extensions, product pricing and rebate agreements, Strategic Plan process and long term P&L modelling, competitive and scenario analyses, driving financial intelligence and rigor across Finance and other non-Finance functions.

Responsibilities:

• Product cost simulation in order to support profitability analysis of new opportunities (corresponding values streams)

• Determine the financial key figures at an early stage of New Product Introduction and update them in later stage of Projects

• Calculation of production alternatives in terms of design, method and production location

• Cost calculation in the early phase of new PRJ with appropriate input from Operations and Purchasing, as well as in all further phases according to the product development process (Concept, Design, Industrialization)

• Perform capital analysis for the projects in terms of ROI, Payback, Operating Income and Break Even Point (Full Product P&L)

• Independently monitor, coordinate/control and initiate escalations as necessary in the Calculation of lifetime costs during all project phases; optimization of cost cycles in

• Collaboration with key business partners such as Sales, Product Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Plant Controlling

• Support of new cross-site costing methodologies for new product families and technologies in the individual production sites as part of target cost activities

• Introduction of new cross-location cost methods for new product families and technologies in the individual production sites

• Execution of continuous complex cost and value driver analyses as well as implementation of Target Costing

• Plan and monitor execution of CAPEX required for the NPI Projects

• Proactive participation in interdisciplinary functional/core teams

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, controlling or similar. Also candidates with an engineering background (with a strong interest for finance) are being invited to apply.

• Preferably min. 5 years business experience in Commercial and/or Operations Finance

• Experience in investment projects (from financial and/or engineering perspective)

• Experience in cost analysis and optimization in a manufacturing environment

• Experience in a multinational and dynamic (matrix) organization

• Excellent communication skills in English

• ERP system knowledge, SAP experience is preferred

• Strong business acumen and proven analytical and problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently and balance multiple priorities and commitments
