Mentor Technical Group Procurement Manager (Pharmaceutical Industry) in Caguas, Puerto Rico

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain supplier contracts to ensure compliancy and all necessary contract documentation requirements.

  • Prepare, manage and maintain policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular market and spend analysis programs to drive cost saving and supplier improvements.

  • Conduct local and regional Supplier Performance review meetings, when requested, and manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance and service obligations.

  • Build transparency of Supplier spend and key risks related to our suppliers. Proactively report results and opportunities.

  • Provide management, detailed instruction and continuous follow-up to support the operations teams in standardized RFP/bid and contract processes.

  • Proactively manage internal and external customer expectations.

  • Establish relationships with Corporate Legal and Risk Management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standard or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved by legal/risk management.

  • Partner with clients and company Facility Management team to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to the client.

  • Assess and build annual sourcing initiatives that provide detailed service commodity strategies that identify objectives, leveraged spend initiative, and milestones.

  • Bring strategic thought leadership to account to identify additional cost and operational efficiencies.

  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports and other data to determine the reasonability of price and contractor capabilities.

  • Support a supplier diversity program in accordance with company requirements.

  • Leverage and other opportunities to identify cost efficiency.

  • Leverage procurement opportunities driving cost efficiencies.

  • Perform periodic meetings with the clients to further assess any procurement leverage opportunities.

Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Preferred degree in Materials Management.

  • 5-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain and/or procurement.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments.

  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications - Very strong in Microsoft excel, Word and Power Point.

  • Motivated to grow and perform in a high-performance organization.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines.

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills organization skills and strong analytical thinking.

  • Full Bilingual.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment's, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
