Today, we are recruiting for a RAMS Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Perform, implement, and support the process activities by the company policy as well as mandatory requirements, regulations, and international standards (e.g. EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 61508, etc.)

  • Support for the preparation of project-specific Safety Cases including technical safety reports as well as RAMS concepts, plans, and processes. You play a key role in ensuring that we achieve the RAM/Safety deliverables and targets.

  • Support the independent planning, system design, and system optimization of complete solutions to achieve the RAMS objectives.

  • Support the implementation of complex system concepts, innovations, technical risk potential, and competitor analysis.

  • Perform and support the hazard mitigation process, prepare, and maintain the hazard log, and manage the hazard close-out process as well as the activities to perform the functional proof of safety.

  • Support in system integration tests and trial runs to prepare and perform the RAMS demonstration activities and in the commissioning of complete solutions.

  • Work effectively with Client organizations with discretion and diplomacy and be able to influence outcomes with good judgment and decision-making.

  • Operate under the minimum of supervision and apply high standards of integrity and responsibility.

  • Create and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.

  • Encourage and enable teams to work effectively,

  • Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate effectively in formal settings involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Set your targets within overall project objectives and be thorough, conscientious, and hard-working.

  • Communicate effectively to ensure that the RAMS requirements are understood by the project and that client acceptance of the RAMS submissions is obtained within the constraints of limited timescales.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ traffic engineering with a focus on RAMS management, or any equivalent.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of applied system safety/RAM experience in the railway system industry is desirable.

  • Advanced experience in railway transportation systems, ideally in the systems business is desirable.

  • Advanced experience in executing of area of RAMS management activities.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of system safety analysis techniques, engineering safety processes, and standards including EN 50126

  • Advanced Knowledge of preparing System Safety Cases to meet EN 50129 and associated contractual requirements.

  • Experienced knowledge of EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 62267, NFPA 130, and as well as in the standards related to human factors.

  • Advanced understanding of railway-related infrastructure including trackwork, station & tunnel M&E systems, and transit systems including rolling stock, signaling, communication, and power systems.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.

  • No restrictions to travel.
