Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Calabasas, California. The successful candidate will be tasked with the responsibility of processing payroll for a considerable number of employees. This role is critical within our team and requires a candidate with a solid background in payroll processing and reconciliation, with the ability to use payroll vendor tools effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for about 100 employees biweekly

• Utilize payroll vendor tools such as Paylocity for efficient and accurate payroll processing

• Reconcile payroll records and ensure accurate record keeping

• Manage year-end payroll processes and documentation

• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner

• Regularly monitor and review payroll processes for about 101 - 500 employees

• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in payroll processing

• Proficiency in using payroll software

• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices

• Familiarity with processing payroll for 101-500 employees

• Experience in bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll processing

• Understanding of year-end payroll procedures

• Ability to work with payroll vendors effectively

• Proficiency in reconciling payroll discrepancies

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll information

• Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal payroll and tax regulations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge in the field of payroll processing.
