Aerotek Journeyman Pipefitter in Calgary, Alberta

Aerotek is looking to expand our Journeyman Pipefitter roster in Calgary with some of our top clients, we currently have multiple roles available for qualified pipefitters!

We are currently hiring for a Journeyman Pipefitter role for a Compression shop located in SE Calgary, Alberta. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate. There will also be opportunity for growth and pay increases

Job Title: Journeyman Pipefitter

Job Description

As a Journeyman Pipefitter, you will join our Pipefitting team and focus on process piping systems. Your primary responsibilities will include assembling and installing process spools, fitting and installing threaded socket weld pipe according to P&IDs, setting majors in place, threading joints, testing the product, and cutting and threading pipes using cutting torches, pipe threaders, power, and hand tools. You will also be responsible for installing automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems. Occasionally, you may be required to perform odd jobs around the facility or assist other tradesmen.

Must Have:

  • Journeyman Pipefitter cert OR apprentice pipefitter

  • Fall Pro

  • Experience on piping systems, bolt up.

  • Able to pass a D&A test

Hard Skills

  • Pipefitting

  • Compression experience (1+ years)

  • Bolt-up

  • Overhead Crane operation

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Calgary, Alberta.

Work Environment

Opportunities available on both day and afternoon shifts.

Dayshift , Monday to Thursday, with overtime paid after 40 hours.

Afternoons, Monday to Thursday, with overtime and an afternoon premium.

Initial days include orientation and working closely with a buddy, transitioning to more independent work with daily P&ID layouts.
