As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst for our Employee Benefits Consulting Practice within the National Accounts Team (NAT). This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
While collaborating with a diverse array of organizations across Canada, you’ll provide comprehensive support to assigned clients, conducting full life cycle reviews and analyses of employee benefit plans. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands strong teamwork, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
A day in the life:
Providing strong analytical and technical support on mid to large clients
Preparing client facing reports such as renewals, actuarial valuations, financial statements, marketing, plan design and in accordance with applicable reporting schedules and reporting templates
Conducting a marketing exercise; includes preparing and submitting specifications to insurance carriers, answering questions, reviewing, and providing technical analysis and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reports
Peer reviewing and providing feedback on work for team members
Preparing experience reports including projections for renewals
Maintaining and updating client files
Providing excellent customer service to our clients via telephone or email to assess and fulfil their employee benefits requirements
Coordinating with insurance carriers as required
Conducts industry research on issues and trends affecting client benefits plans
Assists with special projects, as required
Attends and participates in client meetings on occasion
Who you are:
Post-Secondary Education and/or related courses in group benefits (CEBS) or actuarial studies
Minimum 3 years experience in the group insurance industry, with prior consulting and/or insurance background preferred
LLQP an asset
Solid knowledge of Canadian benefits industry including group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Strong team player and ability to work independently
Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills
