PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
CPKC has opportunities for a Pilot position within our Corporate Flight department based in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot, this position is accountable for the provision of safe and cost-effective air transportation service to CPKC executives using company corporate aircraft. The Pilot ensures all aspects of aircraft operation comply with regulatory requirements including pilot qualifications and aircraft inspections and maintenance.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure all aspects of aircraft operation comply with regulatory requirements including pilot qualifications and aircraft inspections and maintenance
Ensure compliance with CPKC’s policies and procedures including Corporate Air Transport Policy and Critical Cluster Policy
Deliver safe, reliable air transportation services to CPKC executives and third-party company executives if applicable and as required
Assist Director of Flight Operations & Chief Pilot in running of Aviation team as requested
Contribute to improving cost-effective operation of the Aviation department
Contribute to improving safety standards within the Aviation department wherever possible
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Canadian ATPL
Valid Group 1 IFR
Valid Category 1 Medical
5000+ hours Total time
3000+ hours Multi Pic
1000+ hours of jet experience
Preference given to candidates current or experience on the Challenger Aircraft or the Citation Sovereign aircraft
Corporate aviation experience is an asset
International experience desirable
Proven track record, clear of accidents and safety violations
Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma; College degree desirable
Right to live and work in Canada
Excellent communication and interpersonal/relationship management skills
Strong decision making and problem solving abilities
Ability to obtain a RAIC; or Applicable Airport security pass
Heavy travel away from home, including overnights
Ability to travel unrestricted to and within Canada, United States, Mexico, Europe and other locations
Flexibility to work varying shifts
Comfortable interacting with senior executives

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
