    Job Description

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) AND STRATEGIC TALENT MANAGEMENT (STM), Resource Development and Alumni Association, to lead the HR and STM team that services the AA and RD and develop and manage strategy for this shared services enterprise. Will work with both senior teams to attract talented employees, ensure their strategic engagement and growth, and guide their ongoing performance; build a world-class talent team capable of supporting AA/RD's strategic initiatives and priorities; establish an STM program that represents industry best practices; identify and develop leaders, develop successor talent, and provide strategic direction in the processes/practices associated with the development and retention of talent at all levels; oversee the design, delivery, and implementation of programs/resources that advance MIT/RD/AA’s commitment to belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion; and develop metrics to chart and monitor progress. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; ten years’ HR experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities, success, and expertise in talent management, assessment, engagement, and development; comprehensive knowledge of performance management practices, talent management, and professional development; experience managing budgets; excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and communication (written, verbal, listening) skills; record of accomplishment demonstrating independent planning and efficient utilization of time and resources; experience with process improvement; proven leadership skills; experience improving effectiveness through building and sustaining an environment that advances diversity and inclusion, celebrates achievements, and encourages teamwork; and high-level proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to attract, build, develop, and mentor a small-to-medium-sized group; present to and engage small/large audiences; approach work strategically; and work effectively on a senior management team. PREFERRED: advanced degree, particularly in a business- or HR-related field; and PHR, SHRM, or SPHR certification. Job #24071-12
