SMMA HVAC Design Engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

SMMA has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience.  This position offers the ability to lead a range of multiple design project types and requires a good balance of leadership, technical, communication, and organizational skills. 

Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from concept design through construction administration in a range of project types.

  • Provide interdisciplinary coordination.

  • Demonstrate ability to support technical discussions.

  • Demonstrate experience with a range of system types and an interest in continuing to learn.

  • Guide and mentor junior team members throughout project design phases.

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC systems design and leading projects

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • EIT/PE Registration is preferred

  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs, MS Office
