Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment Assistant Video Coordinator in Camden, New Jersey
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Video Coordinator is to work with the Video Coordinator to handle all facets of the video department. This position works with the Video Coordinator to ensure coaching and front office staff is fully supported. Additionally, the Assistant Video Coordinator completes a variety of other special projects and assignments, as needed by the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
Log NBA games to assist with the advanced scouting of opponents
Edit assignments as designated by the coaching staff
Attend all home practices, home games, and being available to complete tasks remotely when the team is on the road
Assist in the coordination of the day-to-day operations for the coaching staff including Practice Planning, Game Preparation & Review, Team Film, Player Development Plans etc.
Assist with the creation of different avenues of non-basketball related content (multi-media, video, speakers & activities) to show to team throughout season
Assist Front Office & Coaching Staff in any way necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with video editing software such as SportCode, Synergy, and Second Spectrum
Teamwork – must be able to work well with others and manage people
Ability to make quality decisions and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the game of basketball (including scouting and teamplay)
Great multi-tasker and highly organized
Be available to coaching staff or GM and willing to help with any special projects and assignments
Demonstrated ability to work with both Apple and PC systems
Understanding of basketball analytics and/or other quantitative experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work Environment: Must be able to work a flexible schedule including events which occur on nights, weekends, and some holidays; must be available to work remotely when the team is on the road.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time; lift a minimum of 50 pounds; and traverse significant distances on game days.
