Migrant Education Program Project Specialist

Camp Hill, PA

The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for Migrant Education Program Project Specialist.

The Center for Schools and Communities Project Specialist will be responsible for the support of program staff on the youth development initiatives and will work closely with the Program Manager and Program Coordinators in their work on behalf of children and families in Pennsylvania.  This individual will assist agency sta? with resources, reports, event planning, technical assistance, and other products related to the contract deliverables contained in the CSC's work statements.  Special projects will be assigned as the need arises.

Salary:  $47,900 -54,500 dependent on qualifications.  This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule.   Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule with the opportunity to allow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations.  In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days.  Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met.  The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in education, social services, information sciences or a related area of study and a minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a related field or an Associate's degree and minimum eight (8) years related paid work experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and minimum of 13 years related paid work experience.
• Bilingual language is required.
• Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of internal and external clients and processes to achieve desired outcomes.
• Advanced computer skills required, such as pro?ciency in File maker, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Advanced skills and understanding of a reimbursement process and related necessary documents.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft TEAMS and Zoom for scheduling meetings, , adding polling questions, opening the room, creating breakout sessions and using the Zoom Interpretation feature.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to complete complex projects in an e?cient and e?ective manner.
• Ability to multi task and prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.

• Excellent research skills, utilizing the internet as well as print and other sources. Pro?ciency in the use of appropriate technology to carry out assigned duties e?ciently, as described above.
