Location : This position is based in our Campbell, California offices. This position is hybrid and full-time

What You’ll Do

The Director of Marketing leads the team responsible for driving Commercial market development activities for Imperative Care’s ischemic stroke treatment portfolio.  This position is responsible for managing the market segment assessment / identification, portfolio positioning and market development programs.  In addition, this role will guide, cross-functionally, the execution of market winning plans that incorporate multiple marketing channels, including Sales Team, peer-influence, scientific publications, podium / conference presence, digital and social media.

 

  • Contribute to the overall marketing strategy and work cross-functionally to guide and execute market winning plans that incorporate multiple marketing channels, including Sales Team, peer-influence, scientific publications, podium / conference presence, digital and social media.

  • Build a high performing team, create an engaging environment, and lead members of Commercial marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies while supporting individual professional development (when time comes to build team).

  • Analyse market data to identify “opportunity” segments and develop recommendations for portfolio positioning and promotion that addresses those market opportunities.

  • Interact frequently with physicians, clinicians, the Sales Team to develop effective collaboration and develop innovative marketing programs and materials to increase sales.

  • Coordinate and partner with Product marketing team to leverage physician research for market and product requirements and coordinate product lifecycle management relative to portfolio enhancements.

  • Contribute to downstream marketing projects including product launch support, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis, product forecasting and general sales support.

  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to define strategy for sales tools and internal training programs and ensure effective implementation.

  • Support sales of Imperative Care devices.

  • Partner with clinical team and customers to develop clinically- focused articles and resources.

  • Contribute to training and education of physicians, hospital personnel related to the Imperative Care portfolio.

  • Assist in the hiring and management of any required marketing staff.

  • Provide regular feedback to management regarding project status, as well as other critical issues which affect the attainment of project completion dates.

  • Attend relevant scientific and technical meetings and conferences.

  • Complete accurate and timely marketing documentation, including employee reviews, etc.

    What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred

  • 10+ years related experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical field, including 5+ years in product marketing

  • Must be willing to travel –30-40%.  

  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment, initiative and analytical abilities, to accomplish short and long-range projects, anticipate likely needs, and recommend actions with minimal direction.

  • Ability to influence decision-making and action across the organization and influence others independent of reporting structure.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ascertain technical aspects of product and provide direction for product development pipeline.

  • Ability to work as a team member and to be very flexible, adaptable, and to work under pressure.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed; conscientious approach to work assignments; enjoys the challenges of multitasking and working at a fast pace while staying flexible to shift tasks frequently.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; and ability to maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal and telephone contacts.

    Salary Range - $210,000 – 225,000 annually
