The Opportunity:

KBR is currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for a Supply Chain Optimisation (AIC) Manager for various Maritime Programs in our Capability Sustainment and Modernisation operational unit.

You will be responsible for the provision of AIC (Australian Industry Capability) Stewardship across the program of work through carrying out AIC Risk Management activities and developing the AIC Plan.

The Supply Chain Optimisation (AIC) Manager will identify, develop, and ultimately attempt to include as many AIC opportunities as possible in order to maximise Australian sovereign capabilities.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Develop a network of sovereign suppliers through market testing, and negotiation with Australian Companies

  • Liaison with Australian Industry bodies to seek compatible capabilities for the program and actively seek to reduce barriers to entry

  • Facilitating local industry engagement activities and the provision of status reports as required on AIC opportunities and their actual and projected economic benefits

  • Promotion of local capability into the Global Supply Chain

  • Responsible for driving Continuous Improvement and Performance Analysis

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the ISO 44001 standard

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, and/or Business, or with relevant experience in AIC Management

  • In depth knowledge of Maritime Engineering, ILS, Supply Support, Maintenance Support and AIC Management

  • Experience in AIC, Commercial/Business Development, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, and Technical Engineering

  • Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills

  • Project management qualifications/experience desired

  • Change Management experience desired

  • The ability to gain and maintain a NV-1 minimum Australian Government Security Clearance

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
