About the Role

The Sales Manager for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Corporate is responsible for driving sales efforts and expanding the hotel’s market share within the corporate and events sector. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, business development, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and achieve revenue targets.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • To meet and greet applicable VIP guests upon arrival / departure across all market segments as required.

  • Perform weekly sales, prospective, and account management calls from retention, development and acquisition.

  • Coordinate twice a year Client Appreciation Events for the local Canberra Market.

  • Utilize market analyst reports and daily arrivals report to target corporate clients within allocated market segments.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and industry stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for MICE and corporate accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to understand their requirements and offer tailored solutions.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase the hotel's presence in the MICE and corporate sectors.

  • Coordinate with the reservations, front office, and catering departments to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development, with a focus on MICE and corporate markets.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and trends.

  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, email, envision advantageous
