Misson

The Staff Accountant will manage daily and month-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely information by collaborating with customers, vendors, and staff.

Mission

  • Embrace and promote the company’s safety culture and initiatives.

  • Uphold the company’s core values, vision, and mission, adhering to ethical standards and policies.

  • Process daily tickets for aggregate and asphalt plant locations.

  • Assist with tax filings and sales tax reports.

  • Post weekly and monthly ledger entries.

  • Perform periodic inventory and account reconciliations.

  • Manage projects, conduct special analyses, and support monthly close processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • 0-3 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts (debits, credits, reconciliations, etc.).

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, JWS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most work performed in an office environment; quiet to moderate noise level

  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 35 pounds

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel

  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)

  • Sitting for long periods (up to 8 hours or more) at a desk using a computer; with intermittent breaks

  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visiting work sites may require walking over uneven terrain and some exposure to dust, chemicals and loud noise

  • Some travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
