Amazon Supply Chain Vendor Specialist in Cape Town, South Africa

Amazon is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, analytical and creative candidate to join our team. You will work directly with strategic vendor partners with the focus of improving their inbound supply chain processes. You will also be the supply chain expert amongst your Vendor Specialist peers.

In addition to ongoing vendor collaborations, you will work closely with internal teams in Vendor Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations and Finance. You will make a direct impact to our customers through better product availability, and also our operational excellence by continuous process improvement. This role will be both strategic and tactical

Key job responsibilities

• Own the operational onboarding of key vendors.

• Monitor operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. This includes delivery leadtimes, complete order fill rates and stretch to opportunities to increase internal and external process understanding to reduce cost to both vendors and Amazon.

• Own the deep dive and correction where process gaps lead to defects in our Fulfilment Centers, Customer or Vendor Experience (CX and VX)

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Cape Town, ZAF

Basic Qualifications

  • Graduated with Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commerce, Business administration, Supply chain management or a similar field

  • Experience in an analytical role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML is a plus
