Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong work ethic to join our IES (Instrument & Enterprise Services Division) team as the Manager of Finance for Strategy & Marketing at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. The scope of responsibilities includes leading business case modeling, analysis & reporting to implement our financial goals and initiatives supporting our Strategy, Product Management & Marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a financial business partner & advisor to the VP of Strategy & Marketing to support E.g. strategic projects, business case development, return on investment. Covering areas such as revenue, marketing campaigns, new product launches, pricing, OPEX, CAPEX

  • Develop, standardize, and improve financial models, business cases, analysis, reports, drive financial insights, and support monthly /quarterly /annual forecasting and budgeting process (i.e. support MBR, QBR, AOP, etc.)

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making

  • Translate financial models and results to build impactful narratives

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the team

  • Ensure flawless execution of financial initiatives and projects

  • Guide teams from various departments in the successful execution of key initiatives

  • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization across the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience in finance business partnering roles

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Comprehensive financial modeling skills and business sense

  • Experience with leading operating mechanisms (monthly, quarterly report outs)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ambitious and driven to achieve results

  • Ability to compete effectively in a highly competitive industry

  • Proficient user of systems (i.e. SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion planning, Power BI, Cognos, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $93,800.00–$140,675.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
