Job Scope:Lead and supervise the Maintenance Departments, ensuring that the reliability and performance of the engineering and maintenance processes are compliant, efficient, and effective. Ensure that the utilities operations and maintenance comply with current industry regulatory expectations, new regulations and corporate policies, by contributing on local procedures revisions, project meetings and technical/engineering discussions.Manage budget and contracts of service providers included within the utilities/maintenance organizations. Evaluate maintenance performance and efficiency as part of execution of work orders and routine maintenance. Ensure organization has the right structure to support current site needs and future needs as part of business plan annual process. Oversight and review maintenance performance establishing and ensuring local and global metrics/KPIs are in compliance. Support regulated inspections and HSE programs supported and led by maintenance function to ensure compliance and sustainability of site performance and execution.Lead and/or support shutdown activities with resource allocation, coordination, and execution of maintenance related activities.Develop business cases, change control generation and management as well for any maintenance or capital project implemented as part of maintenance improvements or recapitalization.Responsible to oversight site reliability structure and ensure program supports predictive maintenance programs, maintenance strategies and develops action plans and roadmap to enhance equipment performance.Basic Qualifications•Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering or Science•Must be knowledgeable or exposed to MXES maintenance program, SAP, etc.•Experience with financial and budget data analysis.•Experience in pharmaceutical operations and applicable regulations (e.g., cGMP, HSE, regulatory bodies, and other applicable regulatory aspects/areas).•Minimum of five (5) years of experience overseeing engineering, maintenance, operations, or facilities in a regulated manufacturing environment, pharmaceutical operations preferred.Additional Skills/Preferences•Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)•Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other parts of the organization and across multiple levels to influence and drive results.•Be able to lead and influence teams to ensure execution and drive results.•Computer literate•Teamwork oriented•Strong communication skills at all levels, on the pharmaceutical environment and external fields such as Regulations and Organizations•Strong problem solving and multi-task/prioritization skills.•Self-initiative to resolve discrepancies, establish strategies and create systems to ensure adherence to compliance and expectations. •Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.•Sound judgment and strong compliance mindset.•Flexibility is required to support site needs outside regular business hours including weekends as required.
