As a nationally recognized leader in designing, operating, and managing laboratory ventilation, 3Flow has an exciting opportunity for a full-time mechanical project engineer. If you are tired of piecemeal, whack-a-mole upgrade approaches, we are looking for an experienced project engineer to help drive our solution-based business model to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability of labs and critical workspaces. While we are a small firm, we are growing, and we have a substantial impact on industry standards and holistic management strategies. Your work will help shift the industry while fulfilling our clients needs.

About the Job: The Project Engineer is one of the most important roles within 3Flow. In this client facing and interactive position, you'll be working with other experts within 3Flow and our clients to find solutions for improving the safety and efficiency of airflow systems in laboratories and critical work-spaces. You will join our team and work with leading clients across higher education, government, pharmaceutical and life sciences to support and manage projects from concept to completion. We will provide the work specific training and methodologies; you can provide your brilliance and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages diagnostic projects at the room and system scale.
  • Formulates plans with detailed calculations, drawings, diagrams, project specifications.
  • Leads a team to measure performance of airflow systems and compares it with optimum settings determined in collaboration with industrial hygienists.
  • Presents technical information to stakeholders.
  • Builds strong client relationships that are based on trust, safety, and energy savings.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering with minimum 5+ years experience as a project engineer or manager.

``` - Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred. - Ability to travel to and from various project locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:

  • Experience working with critical environment HVAC systems, building controls, and energy management.
  • Proven abilities in self-management, problem-solving, results orientation, conceptual thinking, decision-making, and teamwork.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Salary Range: Starts at $85,000 and up - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, location and other factors.
