Robert Half is partnering with Construction company in the Asheville, NC area for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our construction team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and supporting the overall financial operations of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles specific to the construction industry, along with proficiency in relevant accounting software. Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the company

• Handle monthly and year-end closing processes

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable duties

• Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions

• Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial data and generate reports

• Process payroll for company employees

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage company accounts

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations

• Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.

Requirements

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis

• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management

• Ability to perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting

• Knowledge in bookkeeping principles and practices

• Ability to handle payroll processes efficiently

• Skilled in executing month end close procedures

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
