Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role offers a contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be utilizing various accounting software systems and handling a significant volume of invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions.

• Handle accounts payable tasks including check processing and data entry.

• Manage a large volume of invoices and ensure their accurate processing.

• Perform a 3-way match, cross-verifying invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

• Resolve any discrepancies that arise in the accounts payable process.

• Maintain and manage the company's financial data and records.

• Collaborate with other teams to streamline accounting processes and procedures.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

• Maintain the confidentiality and security of financial information. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Expertise in SAP or AS400

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Familiarity with Check Processing procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Ability to resolve Discrepancies in accounting data
