Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for an Electrical Engineer for a Utilities company in Cedar Rapids, IA. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and have prior hands on experience in the industrial field. This candidate will travel around to various plant sites in Iowa to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and assist on projects. They will help on new development, reviewing design work. There may be occasional overnight stays while working on projects. This candidate can expect to travel about 20-30% of the time. They will be focused on solar sites, natural gas plants, and new development as the power generation side of the business grows. Based on years of experience, this candidate can expect to make between $80,000-$112,000.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in Power Generation

Industrial experience, Solar Sites, Natural Gas Plants

Troubleshooting for control systems, generators, motors, etc. * Project management experience

* Iowa Professional Engineer (PE) license null
