This role will provide architecture, engineering, design, maintenance, and troubleshooting for farm technology. This will include working on servers, networking, telephony, telecom, internet services, desktop imaging, cybersecurity, and more.

What You’ll Accomplish and Experience

  • Create supporting documentation and architectural drawings for technology solutions.

  • Provide voice, data, and wireless network support.

  • Ability to coordinate any circuit issues with the telco providers.

  • Effectively manage and enhance current virtual server environment including: Install, configure, patch, and maintenance of VMware infrastructure

  • Ability to monitor and analyze performance levels to make recommendations for capacity planning

  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft operating systems to current recommended levels, which includes working with security and applying security recommended patches and hardware driver updates

  • Implementing and maintaining security to take precautions against unauthorized access, and documenting Network Servers and Network Storage devices, including hardware and software

  • Analyze future needs, making and implementing technical recommendations for system performance to ensure systems are performing correctly and meet internal and external customer needs pertaining to utilization, including predicting growth and upgrade needs based on capacity planning information on available data, reviewing data file structures for efficiency and reporting any problems to all of IT.

  • Review systems to ensure internal and external customer needs and requirements are met.

  • Ability to research and work with vendors to resolve issues.

  • Install, configure, and repair computer hardware and software.

  • Ability to repair equipment and replace physical parts

  • Replace retired hardware and track in ticketing system.

  • Periodic travel up to 30% of time, including rental vehicle or airline travel and overnight stays

  • Provide desktop and server-related support for specialized applications and administration of network services and needs, including upgrading, troubleshooting, and other specific tasks

  • Train internal/external customers on new and existing technologies

    Desirable Previous Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or IS Management, or similar preferred

  • CCNP, MCSE, MCASAE, VCAP, or similar higher-tier technology certifications preferred

  • CompTIA Sec+ or similar cybersecurity certifications preferred

  • Strong Computer Skills and the Ability to Troubleshoot and Diagnose Problems

  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users and helpdesk technicians

  • Knowledge of administration in Active Directory and Exchange

  • Strong customer service skills and an ability to collaborate and work as part of a team

  • Attention to detail and follow-through to ensure issues have been resolved

  • Basic networking skills
