The Content Advisor for Disney Institute will join the Content Development Team, dedicated to designing, creating, and continuously improving Disney Institute content for specific product lines, including Professional Development Courses (PDCs) and Private Learning Events (PLEs). You will play a key role in crafting and telling compelling stories behind Disney Approach to service, leadership, and employee engagement. . As the primary liaison between our internal partners and cast members, you will ensure the content is inclusive and aligns with segment and participant expectations, adhering to established timelines. You will develop assets to support unique, immersive instructor-led and virtual-based learning solutions for our participants, balancing critical success measures with operational requirements. This role entails following up on specific tasks and specific decision-making authority to ensure project management and content development activities are completed on time and with high quality. You will research best practices from the Walt Disney Company, especially from our parks and resorts worldwide, to develop compelling stories and examples to share with our clients. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional service to both internal and external guests.

The Content Advisor for Disney Institute will report to the Content Manager and sits in Celebration, FL.

You Will Do/Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal collaborators, vendors, guests, and clients.

  • Takes hands-on responsibility for coordinating projects, including research, design, development, and continuous improvement of content and learning tools.

  • Answers inquiries for Private Learning Event Clients and participants in Professional Development Courses, escalating issues as needed.

  • Establishes and handles internal meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to deadlines. Collaborates effectively to deliver high-quality products and services on time and within budget.

  • Conducts comprehensive research on training industry trends, best practices in core content areas, and industry-based connections to DI participants and clients.

  • Proactively identifies and addresses project challenges, escalating issues to meet project needs. Tracks results and resources throughout the project management process, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

  • Maintains ongoing communication with internal partners and external vendors to ensure efficient project progress. Uses project management and vendor systems to track work progress and results, working within various computer systems.

  • Coordinates logistics and materials for internal training events and content pilots, including production and scheduling of material development based on internal brand requirements.

  • Handles email correspondence, updates documents/web content, and provides operational support for in-person and online events.

  • Takes ownership of assigned projects, providing timely updates, and may support interns and new hires with scheduling, training plans, and project guidance.

  • Shares best practices, serving as a thought partner and problem solver.

You Will Have/Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years project management skills in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, adept at handling multiple tasks and priorities with a strong attention to detail.

  • Maintains positive relationships with Cast Members/employees, clients, and operating areas, excelling both independently and within team settings.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating analytical proficiency, engagement skills, and meticulous project oversight.

  • Effectively collaborates and innovates within diverse teams, fostering creativity and brainstorming sessions.

  • Exhibits excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette and proficiency in grammar and business writing.

  • Thrives in navigating ambiguity driven by client expectations, prioritizing and multitasking projects while ensuring accuracy.

  • Possesses strong organizational, problem-solving, and confidentiality management skills. Self-starter and proactive, takes ownership and drives projects with minimal direction, comfortable making independent decisions.

  • Proficient in Windows environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with willingness to learn new software applications. Experience in Apple Products and Keynote is preferred as well.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience tracking, approving and movement of digital assets including working within a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

  • Experience collaborating with executives and senior leaders.

  • Proficient in influencing skills, adept at facilitating mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Prior experience within The Walt Disney Company.

  • Proficiency with learning management systems (D Learn).

  • Experience with Confluence or other knowledge management system.

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and organizational development philosophies.

  • Background in content, instructional design, education, and/or training. Facilitation experience may be helpful.

Required Education:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Industrial Organization Psychology, Training and Performance, Organizational or Strategic Communication, or related field or equivalent experience.
