Systems Engineer Job Location US-MN-Center City ID 2024-11534 Status Full Time Shift Day Schedule Mon - Fri Hours of Work 8am - 4:30pm Responsibilities The Systems Engineer is responsible for the lifecycle of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's data center and infrastructure systems. This includes planning, implementation, operations, and disaster recovery of enterprise infrastructures, including on premise and cloud based servers, virtualization technologies, storage, backup, messaging and unified communications systems. The Systems Engineer is responsible for service delivery and support across the enterprise and provides after hours and on-call support as required. The Systems Engineer will work to ensure system availability, reliability, and security in alignment with the needs of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's strategic initiatives and related project deliverables. Responsible for the lifecycle of on premise and cloud based infrastructure services IT strategic planning and enterprise architecture Emergency response and disaster recovery Ensure the integrity of corporate data systems security to prevent unauthorized access to corporate technology resources Participate in the development and ongoing management of IT budgets and contracts Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent years of experience) Minimum of 5 years engineer level experience implementing, managing and upgrading a wide range of technologies including but not limited to: Server hardware (HP, Dell, Cisco UCS) Server operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) Virtualization technologies (VMWare/Citrix) Scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) Storage Area Network technologies (EMC, Pure Storage, Brocade) Backup and disaster recovery technologies Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Office 365) SQL Messaging systems Preferred Qualifications: Applicable certifications such as MCSE, VCP-DCV, Solaris SCSA, Linux CLP/LPIC, EMCSA, Info Security - CISSP/ SSCP Budget planning, forecasting, contract negotiation, licensing and support contract management Vendor relationship management Project management experience Overview The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is the largest nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States.
