Cargill Production Program Coordinator in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

Job Type: Full Time

Shift(s) Available: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm

A Typical Workday May Include:

  • Monitor and administer all plant specific and corporate food safety and quality programs per the Cargill Policy Manual (CFSRA) and the Global Food

  • Safety Standards (BRC).

  • Perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications and audits throughout the facility including raw material audits, documenting deviations, and recording corrective actions and may retain or hold non-conforming product of limited or few areas or processing lines.

  • Enter limited data in Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory data systems with general direction and guidance.

  • Review and complete shipping and receiving documentation, enter information into computerized systems and resolve discrepancies or issues as needed, by working with knowledge of processes and procedures.

  • Interact with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations relative responsibilities and knowledge with authority to make minor changes, as defined by management.

  • Support multiple operation system responsibilities such as producing reports, inputting daily and monthly activity and issuing temporary layoffs (TLOs).

  • Responsible for inventory administration activities such as entering inventory adjustments, updating customer inventories, and producing shorts report updates.

  • Perform physical inventory counts.

  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures including equipment lock ins an outs and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word, Outlook

  • Experience with SAP, AS400, and Kronos
