Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Business Analyst with an active Secret Clearance to support TGS and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating and assisting in the creation of new requirements documents which result from use-case review and discovery sessions. The Business Analyst will participate in the use case discovery sessions, assist the team in a range of strategic planning activities, and produce analysis documentation. Activities include capturing business processes during discovery sessions; during discovery sessions, asking questions that are based on careful logical consideration of the information the clients relay about the business process; gathering and collating all business requirements captured by all team members; autonomously composing process documentation based on the captured business requirements; continuing to carefully consider any logical inconsistencies or gaps in the team’s knowledge of the business process throughout a use-case, from inception through deployment of the solution; draft test cases for each process and determine all various routes by which a solution must be tested; implement test cases with the rest of the team and participate in testing the solution; and other ad-hoc activities including participating in demonstrations of system functionality for the various customers, agencies, conferences, and educational meetings as well as producing work flows, PowerPoint presentation slide decks, graphs, charts, and visuals for various requirements.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements

  • Assess business process and system inefficiencies

  • Demonstrate fluency in business processes and process differentiation

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes

  • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities

  • Produce required analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan)

  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process, serve as the functional expert to help resolve problem reports, and assist with change requests and business processes

  • Identify non-standard, inefficient, and deficient business processes and recommend, develop, and implement process improvements per Government approval

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Level Clearance, per Government requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 2-4 years prior management or technology consulting experience, preferably in the Public Sector/Federal Government

  • Strong understanding Public Sector/Federal Government contracting, preferably experience working with Government contracts and within their respective contracting writing systems

  • Experience gathering requirements remotely, working in a fully remote setting, and working with cross-functional teams

  • Strong understanding of Agile software development processes

  • Experience in requirements development for applications, experiences, websites, products and services that balance user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints

  • Experience producing client-facing deliverables and presentations, and participating in client meetings

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to function, adapt, and succeed in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment

  • Positive attitude and motivation to deliver highest quality work

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Self-organized and structured, with the ability to define your own tasks

  • Expert with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
