A week in the life ofa Lead Systems Engineer:
Lead a teamof talented, and experienced IT Engineers on new and ongoing IT projects
Engage inhands-on technical workalongside the engineering team
Perform direct technical troubleshooting and problem resolutionin IT systems and infrastructure
Coordinatewith Information Assurance, Service Desk, and Software Development teams to ensure continuous operations
Ensurecontinuous integrationand deployment of software updates
Oversee day-to-day operationssupporting the customer's acquisition support mission
Managepersonnel developmentand complete performance appraisals of AMERICAN SYSTEMS employees
Job Requirements
ActiveTS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's Degree
DoD 8570/8140 IAT II level certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
More than 10 years oftechnical experience supporting IT operations(IT systems, IT networks, and software development)
More than 5 years of technical experience supportingInformation Assurance/Cybersecurity
Technical understanding of the following:
VWware infrastructure
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix
Networking
Storage systems
Cloud technologies
Management/Leadership experience
Demonstrated experience communicating with senior level customers
Strong working knowledge of virtual computing including VMware and Cloud computing
Strong understanding of computer networking, perimeter protection, and information security
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $145,000-$160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
