The Internal Communications Senior Specialist serves as a communications advisor and storyteller, providing input to and support for communications strategy development and execution for corporate internal communications.  In partnership with the manager of communications and the larger corporate communications team, this energetic, creative and collaborative professional creates story-based messaging, actionable plans and creative content that enhances employee engagement and strengthens the company brand with internal stakeholders worldwide.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with corporate communications teammates and corporate stakeholders to develop, execute and measure annual internal communications plans that drive internal engagement and alignment to the company’s purpose, values and strategy.

  • Regularly interface with senior leaders to provide communications support and counsel.

  • Use strong project management skills to design and execute multi-channel communications deliverables that support the company’s people programs and initiatives including DE&I, talent acquisition and onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning & development, and HR operations.

  • Write/edit/produce content for multiple communications, including print, social/web, blogs, newsletters, presentations, videos, etc. Provide editorial functions, such as consistency in tone, style, clarity, and alignment with the company values and strategy.

  • Support town halls as needed, including the Chief People Officer’s quarterly meeting and enterprise and CEO-led events.

  • Benchmark and research to enable continuous improvement. Develop meaningful metrics and track and measure to show impact and inform content strategy.

  • Support corporate communications on additional projects and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills /Attributes :

  • Natural storyteller, with exceptional written and verbal communications skills – excellent AP-style journalistic writing and editing abilities

  • Experience writing for executive audiences

  • Demonstrated experience in employee communications

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Sound judgment skills and ability to work with confidential information

  • Strong interpersonal skills – builds and maintains positive, collaborative working relationships

  • Results-oriented, self-motivated and creative

  • Detail-oriented – excellent organization skills

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Good sense of humor

Desired Skills :

  • Global company experience

  • Understanding of Canva, SharePoint and PowerPoint

  • Passion for improving the employee experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, English, communications or marketing

Required Years and Area of Experience

  • 3-5 years in communications, with at least a portion of time spent in employee communications.
