Job Description
We are in search of Waitstaff personnel for our Charlottesville, VA 22903 location. Waitstaff will provide quality guest service during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The following Full Time and Part Time shifts are available:
· AM Part Time Shift: 6:00AM – 10:00AM ($21.77/hr)
· PM Part Time Shift: 4:30PM – 8:15PM ($21.77/hr)
· AM Full Time Shift: 6:00AM – 2:15PM ($17.20/hr with benefits)
Some weekend shifts will be necessary based on demands. Part Time Shifts are generally 3 shifts per week
Key Job Functions
Serve food and beverages to patrons at tables in the main dining room or other assigned alternate dining locations
Present menus to customers, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
Memorize or write order on check, relay order to kitchen, serve course from kitchen and service bars, and clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each course or meal
Collect all meal tickets to give to Lead Waiter/Waitress
Set up beverage stations and dining room appropriately for meals
Bus all tables, replace all tablecloths with clean linen, and take dirty linen to appropriate area for cleaning service
Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and perceive when meal has been completed
Ladle soup, toss salads, portion desserts, brew coffee, and perform other waitstaff related services as required
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years old
Must possess basic mathematical skills
Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with guests and other staff
Must adhere to all Safety & Sanitation standards including acquiring ServSafe certification
Must be able to Lift 50 lbs. with or without an accommodation; frequent lifting and/or carrying object weighing up to 25 lbs
Must be able to work with little to no direct supervision.
Must be proficient in the English language, have good communication skills and be able to interface well with others.
Must maintain a professional appearance at all times and comply with uniform guidelines
Must follow all policies and procedures
