We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role involves pivotal responsibilities within our Corporate Accounting and Finance team, including fixed asset reporting and month-end closing and reconciliation tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for fixed asset reporting

• Handle all month-end closing and reporting requirements

• Oversee and administer Corporate accounting add-on software

• Implement Process Improvement initiatives related to Corporate and Divisional Accounting

• Assess internal controls for Corporate accounting functions and recommend improvements

• Develop process and procedure documents as needed

• Support the integration of new business units into financial reporting processes, systems, and treasury

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies

• Carry out other activities, as needed, in support of the Corporate Accounting and Finance department’s functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrable experience with general ledger and journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting a plus

• Experience with internal control review and budget monitoring a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA or relevant certification is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct

• Familiarity with manufacturing industry is a plus
