BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Vendor Relations Analyst - Shared Health in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Facilitates the vetting process for contracts supporting government programs for products or services acquired through acquisition and/or other mechanisms. Supports development and implementation of new contracts and amendments and monitor contract fulfillment against goals and objectives.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and provide feedback to business owners for newly developed and amended contract language, including but not limited to determining scope of work and business requirements necessary to meet objectives, identifying necessary amendments resulting from scope changes, contract extensions, renewals, and new regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors trends on performance, ROI, and pricing to ensure positive returns through the development and/or distribution of monitoring reports which are distributed to internal stakeholders.
  • Compiling and providing analysis on financial and operational reports as needed and if necessary, develop Corrective Action Plans (CAP) with the business owner and maintain and monitor CAPs for vendor compliance.
  • Track vendor related information in designated system.
  • Facilitates vendor meetings as outlined in the contract or requested by the business owner.
  • Participates in on-site and desk annual vendor evaluations and support all state, federal and regulatory audit and reporting requirements.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment

Experience

  • 5 years - Experience in the health care industry
  • 5 years - Project management experience with demonstrated skills and successes
  • 3 years - Experience related to vendor relations and / or vendor management

Skills\Certifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
